Saint Paul Public Schools 5th Annual Arts for All Conference provides participants with the opportunity to attend interactive, hands-on and relevant workshop sessions that meet participants arts education and arts professional development needs. The Conference’s target audience is Saint Paul Public Schools educators, administration, parents/guardians, and arts organization representatives, artists, and interested community members who work with Saint Paul Public Schools educators and youth. The Conference is sponsored by Saint Paul Public Schools, Ordway Center for the Performing Arts and Clear Channel School Arts Project. It is facilitated by Saint Paul Public Schools Center for Academic Excellence and East Side Arts Council.

Keynote Speaker:
John F. Kennedy Center workshop leader Harlan Brownlee is Executive Director of Kansas City Young Audiences and previously served as Young Audiences Director for Artistic Programming for six years. Mr. Brownlee is also the President of Missouri Dance Educators Organization and was Artistic Co-Director of City in Motion Dance Theatre, Kansas City, MO.
Keynote Address:
Brain Dance: Research demonstrates that movement plays an essential role in brain development. Mr. Brownlee will present the compelling case for movement in the classroom.
Mr. Browlee’s Workshops:
The Brain Moves: Based on developmental patterns, which help children grow their brains, The Brain Moves provides a series of motions that enhance neurological organization & stimulate brain functions. Strategies help students focus or calm down after excessive stimulation.
Weather on the Move: Mr. Brownlee combines his training as a pilot with his experiences as a choreographer/dancer to create an interactive exploration of weather structures & conditions.
